Candlemas, or the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, is celebrated on February 2nd.
On this day we remember the occasion when Mary and Joseph took Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem to ‘present him’ before God. (Luke 2.22-40)

Lord Jesus Christ, Light of the world, shine among us and within us;
turn us from darkness and bring us to your eternal light, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
