Jet Class 2020 – 2021

We are a class of Year 3 children.
Our teacher is Miss Attenborough and our teaching assistant is Mrs Campbell.

Summer Term 2021
We have another very busy term ahead of us in Year 3!

During the first half term, we will be learning to play African drums. This is led by a teacher from the Inspiring Music team and always an exciting opportunity!

In Geography, we will be looking at the country of Spain and making comparisons

with the UK.  After half term our topic switches to the River Nile.

We begin to learn where rivers start and end, their features and their uses.

In science our main topic will be Forces and Magnets.

The children always love this topic as they can conduct investigations

with the magnets!

We will be continuing to learn French, the children have shown great

enthusiasm for leaning a new language and we are very impressed with

their efforts so far.

Of course Maths, English, Spellings, Computing, Art, PE

and everything else will continue too!

Autumn Term 2020

We would like to welcome the children back after the extra-long summer break!

We are looking forward to working with our new classes.
As always we have a busy term ahead of us with lots going on.

This term we will be learning about traditional tales in English, the Yorkshire Dales in Geography, the Stone Age in History and light and shadow in Science amongst many other things.

In PE, we will be experiencing athletics in the first half term. We will normally be outside so please ensure you child has suitable PE clothing for the weather.
Year 3 have PE every Friday.

Reading journals need to be filled in and handed in on a Wednesday.
For the first half term we will not be setting maths homework but
we will be sending home spellings.

Both classes will have their own class assemblies this term alongside the harvest festival. We will be doing this in a different format this year . . . watch this space!

Finally, our term will finish, as always, with the many delights that come with Christmas.  These will probably be a little different this year, however, we will still enjoy the festive season.
