Foundation Stage (Easter)

We know that some of you may want to continue with your new routine over the Easter holidays. These are suggestions of what you may like to do over this period of time.

Mrs Martin is encouraging us all to learn sign language. There will be a 'Sunday Signing' activity on the home learning page of the website starting from the 5th April.

All the Easter activities are optional, we understand that some of you might just want to have a break from school!

Wishing you all a happy and peaceful Easter x

Home Learning Challenge

Egg Challenge

What can you do with an egg?

Can you decorate an egg?

Can you boil an egg? Are you going to eat it hot or cold?

Can you chop a hardboiled egg up and make an egg sandwich?

Can you make scrambled eggs with a grown up?

We also have some non egg related challenges!

Here are this week's challenges.

Reading

Each day share a story with a grown up. Look at Barefoot Books for some new stories to listen to.

Our book this week is Rhyming Rabbit by Julia Donaldson. You could listen to the story on YouTube and see if you can find some other stories by Julia Donaldson. There are lots!

Practise your reading using the Easter Tricky Word booklet

You can also practise your reading using the phonics powerpoints  or phonicsplaycomics (Phase 2 and 3 and, for a challenge, Phase 4).

Oxford Owl has free e-books available (once you have registered).

Maths

White Rose Maths have daily Easter fun activities suitable for ages 4-11.

You could also try our other Easter maths activities

Phonics

Here are this week's phonics activities, or you could complete the booklets from last week.

Complete one of the activities each day if you can.

Remember that there are daily phonics sessions online at Ruth Miskin Phonics. These are at 930am (single sounds) and 10am (digraphs)
