Moonstone Class 2019 - 2020

We are a class of year 4 children.
Our teacher is Mr Rowland and Mrs Moore is our teaching assistant.

Due to the school closures, we will be posting activities, links and work for your child to complete at home.

In order to not overload you, we will be posting a few things each week.

Weekly updates will be on a Friday.

Year 4 Week 1

Spring Term 2020

We would like to welcome the children back after the Christmas holidays; we would also like to wish you a happy new year.

Our main topics for this term are: Habitats, Ancient civilisations and Brazil. Just before half-term we will also be taking part in creative arts week.

We will all have our own class assemblies this term alongside the passion play, which is performed in St Mary’s Church, and many of our children will continue to take part in collective worship with Rev. Bill.

We will be attending Young Voices in February and we appreciate all the hard work that the children have put in to learning the many songs!

In March, we will be going to Rock UK, this has come round so quickly, details about the trip will follow soon.

We would like to remind you that the children will be given homework every Wednesday and that it is due in the following week. Reading journals need to be filled in and handed in on a weekly basis.

When your child does PE or attends a PE event they must remember to bring in the correct kit.

Autumn Term 2019

We would like to welcome the children back after the summer break.

We have a busy term ahead of us. Our main topic for this term is the Vikings, we will be learning all about how they lived, how they fought and the changes they made to our country. We will also take part in a Viking workshop which we hope will be a fun day.

We will all have our own class assemblies this term alongside the harvest festival and many of our children will take part in collective worship with Rev. Bill.

We will be attending Saxon pool for swimming lessons this term, as well as some of the children taking part in different sporting activities.

Our term will finish, as always, with the many delights that come with Christmas: parties, pantomime, concerts, Christmas dinner and a visit to St Mary's Church.

We would like to remind you that the children will be given homework every Wednesday and that it is due in the following week.

Reading journals need to be filled in and handed in on a weekly basis.
Your child will have been given a copy of the days that their class will need these.

When your child does PE or attends a PE event they must remember to bring in the correct kit.
