Moonstone Class 2020 - 2021

We are a class of year 4 children.
Our teacher is Mr Rowland and Mrs Moore is our teaching assistant.

Summer Term 2021

We have another busy term ahead of us.
Our main topics for this term are Living things and their habitat and Brazil.
We shall be looking around our school site at the different habitats we can see and also looking to classify different species.
In a Geography topic on Brazil, we shall be looking at the weather and climate and how this  can vary in the different temperate zones.

We will also be doing some transition work in preparation for the children moving on to their next schools.

Reading journals need to be filled in and handed in on a weekly basis.
For the first half term we will not be setting homework (we figure you’ve
 had enough of home schooling!)

Your child will need to come to school wearing their PE kit every Wednesday, please ensure that they have joggers and a fleece (spare socks/shoes may be required).

Our term will finish, with our leavers celebrations. These may be slightly different this year however we will still enjoy celebrating their time with us at St Mary’s.

Autumn Term 2020

We would like to welcome the children back after their long summer break!

We have a busy term ahead of us. Our main topics for this term are the Vikings and Earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains, we will be learning all about how the Vikings lived, how they fought and the changes they made to our country. We will look at how the different features of the Earth are formed.

We will all have our own class assemblies this term alongside the harvest festival. These will take a slightly different form; watch this space!
